The Internet Is What You Make It

"Horses for courses" is an old phrase that is just as true today with the Internet as when used in yesteryear. Many people's aspirations "on-line" seem to be restricted to the occasional e-mail and some casual browsing. If that's your bag then perhaps you shouldn't read on, nor bother with the Internet ISPs, Beyond Browsing, UseNet or the P2p pages on this web-site. If you want to find out a little bit more - then read on.

Here's a few of the things you can do, in addition to e-mail and browsing:

Buy stuff much cheaper than in the High Street stores. See Buying Stuff
Download MP3 music. See UseNet and P2P
Download movies and TV shows. See UseNet and P2P
Find out things without the hassle of wading through hundreds of Google-returned pages that seem to be intended to sell you something. Click Here
Meet and talk to people with like interests and hobbies. See UseNet

The above list is not exhaustive. You can, of course trace your family tree, find out where someone lives (and also get their telephone number), find out just how much that house down the road really sold for (maybe thousands of pounds less than the asking price), find out how to reduce your fuel bills.... the list is endless.

In later extensions to the Rhyl Online web-site I'll try to cover some of these useful things.
